About

Hello! My name is Linka. I graduated from Willamette University with a B.A. in Japanese Studies in 2018, then headed to Japan as an ALT on the JET Program. I worked at two elementary schools in a very rural mountain town in Japan’s cabbage patch, Gunma-ken for 3 years. In 2021, I moved back to the USA to become an M.A. candidate in Translation and Localization Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

This blog is a combination of my travels, experiences while on the JET Program, and interests in Japanese culture.

You can also find some of my travel reports on Japan Travel.

Prefecture Travel Checklist: 22/47
